I judged The British Bullmastiff League Open
Show at Ashby-de-la Zouch on Sunday 7th October 2001.
It was a pleasure to judge this quality entry
of Bullmastiffs, more enjoyable because most classes contained a depth of
quality making me work to decide placings. Mouths in general were better than I
had seen and been led to expect. There were a few cases of unsoundness but I
understand how difficult it can be to raise large breeds. Type, as in many
breeds was varied but I was pleased with my lineups.
My thanks to the very able stewards, the officers & committee for their
hospitality and help collecting me from my broken down car. Much appreciated!
